About Roskey’s Computer Literacy & Beyond

Bridging the digital divide in Port Huron since 2014.

Penny Roskey teaching computer skills

Meet Penny Roskey

Penny Roskey founded Roskey’s Computer Literacy and Beyond with a simple belief: no one should be left behind in the digital age. After years of watching friends, family members, and neighbors struggle with technology that younger generations take for granted, Penny decided to do something about it.

What started as informal kitchen-table lessons for a few friends grew into a full-fledged community program serving hundreds of seniors across the Port Huron and Blue Water area. With over a decade of teaching experience, Penny has developed a patient, hands-on approach that makes even the most intimidating technology feel approachable.

“I remember what it felt like to be overwhelmed by technology,” Penny says. “My goal is to make sure every senior I work with leaves feeling empowered — not frustrated. Everyone learns at their own pace, and that’s perfectly okay.”
